Usborne Lift-The-Flap books
The true moment of love for me with Usborne happened when I read the Look Inside Our World lift-the-flap book with my then four year old son. How had I gotten to adulthood without remembering so many of these fascinating details about the world?
One of the best parts of being a teacher and/or a parent is that you have a second shot at getting an education. Every time I purchase a lift-the-flap book I know these things to be true:
I will learn something or better understand something I faintly remember from my own education growing up.
My son's little eyes will be enchanted with the details of the pictures and excited to lift that flap to see what's underneath.
These books will last. They are sturdy, and I have not a single doubt that my 11 month old daughter will be enjoying them for years to come as well.
These little joys have me excited every time we get a new lift-the-flap book in the mail!
Often times there will be the exact same topic or title for a lift-the-flap book with the exception of "First," or "Very First." I have found that "Very First," and "Peek Inside," with Usborne are for toddlers and preschoolers, "First," or just "Look Inside" For elementary or preschool.
